Hi Margo.
When sharing your listing on Mercari, you can choose either Pinterest or Twitter, if you have those accounts.
The other options are not really important, to me.
I can’t say for sure if sharing guarantees more sales but it’s better than not sharing at all.
As for hashtags, I usually add them under item description and also in the hashtag space on Mercari.
When using hashtags under the item description, make sure to add the kind of item, the brand, etc.
For example, 5T boys clothes, brand: Gap; so your hashtags under items description can be
#boysclothes #gapkids #toddlerboyclothes #oldnavykids. You can add some popular brand name hashtags for exposure.
Then use three regular hashtags where Mercari specified hashtags.
