From my experience, the cinnamon foot scrub can last for months. But it's always better to make a small batch for one to two pedicures and make a fresh one the next time you want to exfoliate your feet.
Hope this helps.

Hi Bobby,
The mica powder adds color to the Epsom salt scrub. It is not compulsory, but I like the icy blue color, that's why I added it.
Hope this helps.
Thank you for checking out the salt scrub recipe, I appreciate.

Hi, I noticed the mica powder was listed in the ingredients but you didn’t mention it or the purpose of it. Would you be able to say what the purpose and benefits of the mica powder are for this scrub? Hi Kimberly,

Yes, you can use red food coloring and silicone soap mold. I used red food coloring the first time I made it. But do a patch test just to prevent skin reactions.
Hope this helps.

Have a great day.

Hi Christal,
They won't fall apart outside the fridge if your house is relatively cool.
But you mustn't touch or move them too much.
But during the warm months, they'll apart because the coconut oil will melt to liquid.
Hope this helps.

Hi Pam,
Fruit scrubs should be made and used up the same day or stored in the fridge for a couple of days.
I always prefer to make fruit sugar scrubs and use them up the same day.

Here are some scrubs with longer shelf life:
<a href="https://www.skinoverload.com/diy-coffee-honey-scrub-used-grounds-2/" rel="ugc">2 DIY Coffee Scrub Recipes With Used Coffee Grounds</a>
<a href="https://www.skinoverload.com/diy-sugar-epsom-salt-scrub/" rel="ugc">DIY Sugar and Epsom Salt Scrub: How to Make It</a>
Also check the <a href="https://www.skinoverload.com/diy-skincare/sugar-scrub/" target="_blank" rel="noopener ugc">DIY sugar scrub archive</a> for more recipes with oil instead of fruit or water.
Because scrubs with coconut oil or honey last longer than ones with fruits or water.

Hope this helps.

Hi Elise,
You're very welcome.
Homemade sugar wax can be funny sometimes. But I'm happy you didn't give up on it. Lol.
Boiling it again the next day and using a thermometer was a great idea.
Thank you so much for trying my DIY sugar wax without lemon recipe, and for sharing your tips and results with us.
As for being impatient, trust me you're not alone. *raises hand* another impatient fellow here. Lol.
Hope you stop by again soon.

I tried it on my arms and the first time I don't think I boiled it long enough because I let it sit the whole night and it was still very liquidy. So the next morning I used the same wax and just boiled it for longer and that time I used a thermometer. After I placed it in the little glass container I let it sit for maybe 5 or 10 minutes because I'm impatient lol. Even though it still worked, I would recommend waiting until it's nice and thick for an easier wax. Safe to say it works great thank you Bree!

I tried it on my arms and the first time I don’t think I boiled it long enough because I let it sit the whole night and it was still very liquidy. So the next morning I used the same wax and just boiled it for longer and that time I used a thermometer. After I placed it in the little glass container I let it sit for maybe 5 or 10 minutes because I’m impatient lol. Even though it still worked, I would recommend waiting until it’s nice and thick for an easier wax. Safe to say it works great thank you Bree!
