How to make DIY sugar scrubs with berries

Before we begin, here’s what we’re going to make:

  1. Blackberry sugar scrub,
  2. blueberry sugar scrub,
  3. cranberry sugar scrub,
  4. raspberry sugar scrub and
  5. strawberry sugar scrub.

What you need

  1. Berries – strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, cranberries,
  2. Sugar – 1lb bag,
  3. Coconut oil (optional)

  1. Food processor or blender,
  2. Mason jars with lids,
  3. Twine or ribbon – if you’re gifting (twine makes it more homemade) and,
  4. Labels.

Since we have five different berries, make one berry sugar scrub at a time.

Follow the directions and change only the fruit for each recipe, except for the cranberry sugar scrub.

The recipe is linked.

  • Blend your berries into a puree,
  • then with a fork, mix one to two tablespoons of fruit puree with a cup of sugar.
  • If you prefer a thinner berry sugar scrub, add more fruit puree.
  • Or make your scrub thicker using only a tablespoon of the fruit.
  • Then, transfer the berry sugar scrub into a mason jar and decorate it with a ribbon or twine.

If you are making this a gift, send it out immediately or use it within days.

This ensures your homemade berry scrub is fresh when you or your friends use it.
