Are you looking for simple skincare tips for glowing skin?
Skincare routines don’t have to be complicated.
And also, you don’t need to use the most expensive skincare products to get the best skin.
I use homemade and drugstore skincare products for my skincare routine.
But the one thing that makes all the difference to your skin is where you start – the shower.
So this post will discuss 11 simple skincare tips for glowing skin.
Let’s begin.
Simple skincare tips for glowing skin – your body
1. Wash your skin

The first and most crucial skincare tip is washing your skin regularly.
Regular bathing or showering removes dead skin, oil, and dirt from your skin.
Also, cleaning your skin before using moisturizers helps it absorb the benefits of the products better.
2. Exfoliate regularly
Another skin care tip you want to add to your routine is skin exfoliation.
There are several ways to exfoliate your skin.
- You can exfoliate your skin in the shower with exfoliating gloves and soap.
- Or exfoliate with exfoliating gloves and a soapy scrub.
- Or exfoliating your skin with a body scrub after showering.
Skin exfoliation sloughs off dead skin, smoothens your skin, unclogs your pores, and makes your skin glow naturally.
Also, when you exfoliate your skin, it absorbs skincare treatments and improves its texture.

3. Moisturize your body
Another skincare tip you must remember is to moisturize your skin daily.
The secret is to moisturize your body immediately after a shower when it is still damp.
That’s the ideal time to replenish and nourish your skin.
If you notice, applying moisturizer to your skin when it is dry doesn’t feel great.
Because your skin is dry and maybe cold, the moisturizer would feel sticky and icky.
Have you ever noticed that?
It’s one of the reasons I moisturize once I step out of the shower.
I cannot stand using creams or lotions when my skin is dry.
So make it a habit to moisturize your skin first thing out of the shower.
Facial skincare tips for glowing skin
Let’s discuss a good skincare routine for your facial skin.
4. Wash your face
Daily washing of your face removes dirt and dead skin and improves its texture.
I used to wait until shower time before washing my face.
But recently, I started washing my face in the mornings, even when I’m not ready to shower.
So I’d splash water to wake my skin and use a rose water face spritz.
Just this simple skincare routine improved my skin.
Another thing to consider about washing your face is to use face wash instead of your regular body soap.
Body soaps are for the body.
Use products that are made for facial skin.
I love drugstore face washes and moisturizers.
Check your favorite drugstore and find face products that work for your skin.
5. Exfoliate your face regularly
Just like your body, remember to exfoliate your face regularly.
Regular face exfoliation unclogs your pores, reduces breakouts, and makes the skin clearer.
Sometimes I use homemade face and body scrubs.
But you don’t have to use DIY skincare products if you’re allergic or have sensitive skin.
Instead, try drugstore skin exfoliation products.

6. Don’t skimp on face moisturizers

I used to apply body cream to my face.
Never saw the need for a face moisturizer.
But I started using face moisturizers when I got a few from my Birchbox subscription.
And I noticed an improvement in my skin’s appearance and texture.
Since then, I’ve been using face moisturizers.
The moisturizers I got from Birchbox were expensive.
So I never considered buying them on my own.
Instead, I searched Amazon and found a Garnier face moisturizer.
And my skin loves it.
So make sure to find a face moisturizer that works for your skin and stick to it.

7. Use face masks

For glowing skin, use face masks regularly.
Face masks unclog pores, detoxify, and brighten your skin.
I like charcoal peel-off masks.
But recently, I’m loving exfoliating mud masks.
Sometimes I use overnight face masks.
So I use it at night, rinse it off the next morning, and moisturize my skin.
It keeps my skin clear and hydrated.
Find the face mask that works for you, and again stick to it.

8. Let your skin breath
For glowing skin, you must sometimes let your skin breathe.
So if you’re always wearing foundation and all those layers of makeup, sometimes go without them.
Or use a tinted moisturizer instead of a foundation.
It moisturizes your skin and gives you coverage without clogging it.
I’m not how many people wear a full face of makeup at home.
But it’s best to have days when you’re wearing nothing but your clean face.
Lastly, always wash off makeup and moisturize your face before bed.
Your skin would look great and plump in the morning.

9. Hair removal tips for the body
Another skincare tip to add for glowing skin is removing body hair.
I prefer using sugar wax to remove body hair.
But always choose what works for you.
Also, how you care for your skin after removing hair is crucial.
That is, you must have a skincare routine post-hair removal.
So whether you shave, wax, or use hair removal creams, do an after-care routine.
Simple things to do after hair removal:
- Exfoliate with a gentle antibacterial scrub to remove dead skin and prevent infections.
- Then moisturize to soothe the skin and prevent drying.
- And wear clothes that don’t cause friction on the skin.

You must be careful when dealing with facial hairs because the skin is gentler than your body.
So to remove regular light facial hair, I prefer to use flawless facial hair remover.
I’ve tried waxing my face, but it wasn’t pleasant.
And besides, with the flawless hair remover, I can remove facial hair quickly without pain.
But for chin hairs, please see a dermatologist to choose the best hair removal method.
Also, remember to exfoliate and moisturize your skin after removing facial hair.
