“Damn, I look pretty this morning without makeup or a shower.”
It took a lot for me to get to this point, but here are ten tips to help you look cute without makeup every day:
1. Get comfortable with how you look naturally
The first step is self-acceptance.
Get comfortable with how you look without makeup.
We all have unique features, and learning to appreciate them is crucial.
Look at your face just as it is, and accept that it is cute.
Instead of finding faults, appreciate the shape of your face, the sparkle in your eyes, and other unique features.
This mindset shift can help you begin to see your beauty and feel good about yourself.
2. Have a good skincare routine
Take care of your skin.
Wash your face daily, exfoliate, and moisturize with the right products for your skin type.
Exfoliation removes dead skin, smoothes your skin, and opens your pores to treatments.
A good skincare routine will significantly improve your skin’s appearance.
Also, adjust your routine based on your environment to address specific skin concerns.
For example, moving from Virginia to Texas forced me to make tiny changes in my skincare routine.
Texas heat darkened my skin and made it rough.
But adding cocoa butter to my skincare routine improved the look and feel of my skin.
Also, remove facial hair to keep your skin smooth and maintain neat brows.

I noticed my face looks cleaner and brighter when my hair is clean and well-kept.
Keep your hair clean and ensure it’s not constantly in your face, as hair products can cause breakouts.
A smooth complexion without breakouts always looks pretty.
4. Wear minimal makeup during the day when running errands
Wearing minimal makeup can help you get comfortable with your natural look.
I stopped wearing foundation for months and started accepting my natural look.
And sometimes, even up until now, I have worn minimal or no makeup if I have to go out, like running errands or just shopping.
My idea of minimal makeup is black eye pencil, light pink lip gloss, and sometimes eyebrow liner or not.
Minimal makeup, like eyeliners and lip gloss or tint, can enhance your features without covering them.
So, look at your makeup, think of the products you can’t do without, and wear those on your minimal makeup day.

Another thing I suggest to look cute without makeup is to have a good nighttime skincare routine.
An excellent nighttime skincare routine is essential.
Always remove your makeup, cleanse your skin, exfoliate twice a week, and use toner, serums, and moisturizers.
This routine will help you wake up with glowing, natural skin.

6. Get enough sleep on your back
Sleep is vital for looking cute without makeup.
Try sleeping on your back to reduce facial puffiness.
A well-rested person always looks better, so prioritize getting enough sleep every night and taking naps during the day if you can.
I wake up with a smooth, less puffy face when I sleep on my back.
But it’s the opposite when I sleep on my side.
But you can make your morning face less puffy by splashing cool water on it.
Ouch! But refreshing.
7. Use other makeup alternatives if you must
If you prefer, use makeup alternatives like tinted moisturizer instead of foundation.
I use Elf Halo Glow, which leaves my skin glowing with light coverage.
It’s been a game changer to my no-makeup look.
There are mixed reviews about the Elf Halo Glow, but I’ve not had any problems with it.
But there are many other options you can try.
8. Check your diet, too
Your diet affects your skin.
Identify any foods that cause breakouts and remove them from your diet.
However, adding certain fruits and vegetables, such as kale, spinach, and blueberries, seems to brighten my skin.
So consider adding these foods to your diet and see how your skin likes them.
9. Exercise regularly
