How Much I Have Made So Far – Blog Income Report
I started my blog sometime in 2018, and this is my first blog income report post.
Guess I should have written it a long time ago, but it’s better late than never. Right?
And since this is the beginning of a new month, I thought I’d do a cumulative report of how much I’ve earned so far.
Also, I’ll talk about my expenses and changes I made that added to whatever income I’ve made from Budget & Mom Jeans.
Why am I even writing this post?
Well, it is because I want to be transparent with you (my readers).
And hopefully, inspire new bloggers that you can make money from your blog, but it takes time, hard work, and patience.
Though I’m not earning as much as I’d love to, I’m making more than I used to.
So here’s my blog income, how much I’ve made so far since I started blogging.
My Blog Income Report – How Much I Make With A Tiny Blog
My Adsense earnings
So after a few weeks blogging, I applied to Adsense and got accepted.
Then I inserted the code, and ads started showing on my blog, and I started waiting for the money to come in.
Hahaha.
AdSense has a payment threshold of $100. And it took me from Sept 2018 to May 2020 to get my first $100.
Then 7 months later I made $115.58. That is from June to Dec 2020.
Then January 2021 I made $23.80 2021 on Adsense.
At this point, I was already looking for alternatives.
So I applied to She Media Ad Network. Make sure to look and compare the numbers to Google AdSense.

She Media Ad network income report
So December last year I got accepted into the SHE Media Ad Network.
To join She Media, you need:
- at least 20k page views, (but I was accepted with less than 20K)
- a majority of female readers,
- and other stuff you can read on their FAQs page.
Anyway, their payment threshold is $20, and they pay every 2 months. This means money earned in December will be paid by the end of February.
While I’m not digging the payment arrangement, the payment threshold of $20 makes more sense to me.
And I’d also be earning more and getting paid every month, instead of waiting for several months to make $100 with Google Adsense.
Here’s my very first earnings from She Media December 2020.
Now look at my January earnings from She media.
And this is just February this year.
Anyway, I’ve closed my AdSense account, and I’m with She Media for good. Well, until the one-year contract expires.
Hopefully, by then, Budget & Mom jeans would meet the requirements to apply to the Mediavine Ad network.

Money made from sponsored posts
After blogging for a year, I landed my first sponsored post. The company actually reached out to me to write about their product, and they paid via PayPal.
I was thrilled.
So I took my time and wrote a post about How Busy Moms Can Survive The Holiday Craziness.
I earned $150 in Dec 2019 from that post.
Blog expenses
Siteground hosting
This year I moved Budget & Mom Jeans from Bluehost to Siteground.
My blog has been really slow for a while, and I’ve tried everything in the books to speed it up, still nothing.
So I figured it might have to do with the hosting.
Well, after asking other bloggers – Siteground was highly recommended.
So I switched. And this is what it cost me:
- Siteground hosting: $119.88,
- domain transfer: $15.95.
Digital product expenses
I also bought the Small product launch kit: $17, from Start A Mom Blog, to improve my freebie designs.
I’m still working on it.

Premium theme
Another expense I made this year was buying a premium blog theme.
When I started Budget & Mom Jeans, I designed and redesigned it over and over with Elementor.
Some days the blog looks good, other days I just keep tweaking and tweaking.
It was frustrating.
At some point, I started considering a premium theme with the Genesis framework. But whenever I find one I like, the price always scares me away.
Fortunately, I found a blog and fell in love with the theme. So I checked it out
I never thought I’d find a cute and affordable premium WordPress theme. So I bought it without hesitation as it was on sale before the sale ends.
And now I love how my blog looks.

Conclusion
So that’s my blog income report since I started Budget & Mom Jeans.
To some, my earnings may be pennies and that’s okay.
I’m proud that I didn’t give up all the times I wanted to.
And now I believe my income will continue to grow because my hard work will pay off.

Hey Buafiya! Thanks so much for sharing your income report. That’s quite a significant difference between your RPM in Jan vs Feb, do you know what was the sudden jump in RPm related to? Does it take time to increase?

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog income report.
The RPM increase must be because I disabled the Adsense code after I joined She Media, and they audited my blog and optimized the ads.
It might also be because I published a lot of posts in December, changed my pinning strategy and I guess my traffic kinda grew.
You can contact customer care to help you out.
Also, be on the lookout for their emails and tips, some of those tips have really helped me.
I checked your blog, your cookies policy is blocking one of your highest paying ads, the one at the bottom of your page.
Move the cookies policy to the top or side of your page.

Thanks so much Buayifa! I made that change on the cookie blocker – so thank you for that! Regarding RPM, She Media said time of month can make a difference and seasonal interests of advertisers. Week days and end of the month typically have higher RPMs due to advertiser’s spend strategies so I’ll wait it out and see their tips/tricks post.
May I ask for your pinterest strategy, did you enroll into a course? With the constant changing rules, it is hard to keep up and wondering if I should take a course to nail it.
