Budget-Friendly Fashion: What I Wore From the Thrift Store for Under $50
I do lots of thrift shopping.
So I thought, why not show an outfit from the thrift store?
This whole outfit was got secondhand.
Except for my jewelry and smartwatch.
And a couple of them are gifts or hand-me-downs, if you will.
Aside from the hand-me-down and jewelry, this outfit cost under $50.
So in this post, I’ll show you how much I bought each piece of item.
And how much they retail according to the sellers.

What I wore from the thrift store under $50
I bought most of these items from online reselling platforms except the jacket and white tank top.

J-crew jeans from the thrift store
Got these jeans from Thredup.
These J.Crew jeans normally retail for $128, but I bought them for $8.99.
I actually have two pairs of these jeans.
The first pair I bought was described as mid-rise.
And I thought I could rock mid-rise jeans.
But no, they don’t really work for my body type.
Anyway, I tried to get another pair of J.crew jeans that Thredup described as high-rise.
And I got the exact mid-rise J.crew jeans I bought earlier.
So I have two pairs of these toothpick J.crew distressed jeans.
I love them, but I wish at least one were high-rise jeans.

Denim jacket
This denim jacket was a hand-me-down from a close friend.
I’ve always wanted a denim jacket.
So it was a blessing.
And after having it for weeks, I finally wore it since the weather was warming up.
I loved rolling the sleeves to make the outfit more relaxed and stylish.
This jacket is from Noisy May.
And according to Thredup, they retail for $80. But you can buy them for $14.99 on Thredup.
Old Navy white cami
The Old Navy cami was also a gift.
You can swap the white cami for a basic T-shirt or tank.
And if you don’t want to buy cami or t-shirts from Old Navy, you’ll find lots of high-end white cami on Thredup.

Slingback kitten heels
I love slingback shoes, especially kitten heels.
And recently I’ve fallen in love with nude-colored shoes.
I first bought a pair of nude slingback kitten heels on Mercari.
But I wore the life out of them.
So I had to get a new pair.
These are Lifestride. Bought them from Mercari for $8.
Mercari claims they retail for $20.
Black tote bag
Got this gorgeous tote from Poshmark for $9.
According to the seller, they are Neiman Marcus and retail for $60.

So that’s my thrift store outfit under $50.
- A hand-me-down denim jacket,
