How to make lavender vanilla sugar scrub
To make this lavender sugar scrub, you need the following:
Ingredients
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 tbsp. lavender flowers
- 10 drops of lavender essential oil
- 1/8 cup coconut oil
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract

Sugar
A natural exfoliant. Great for sloughing off dead skin.
Lavender flowers
The tiny purple flowers have anti-inflammatory properties. It soothes and relieves skin irritations.
Lavender essential oil
This powerful essential oil helps reduce wrinkles and fights acne on the skin.
Coconut Oil
Great natural moisturizer and anti-bacterial oil.
Vanilla
The vanilla extract improves the skin’s texture when applied topically.

Tools
- a bowl
- a spoon or fork
- a jar with an airtight lid, and
- a blender (optional).
Instructions to make DIY lavender vanilla scrub
- Toss sugar, lavender flowers, body oil, essential oil, and vanilla extract into a bowl.
- Then stir until the ingredients are well mixed.
- And your scrub is ready to be stored in an airtight container.
- But for a lavender vanilla sugar scrub with smaller granules, add the ingredients into a blender and pulse a few times.
- And you’d have a smoother lavender sugar scrub.

How to use the vanilla lavender scrub
- As usual, it is better to use your scrubs after washing off dirt on your skin.
- So take a shower first.
- Then towel your skin but leave it moist.
- Next, spoon out some scrub into a bowl for your skin exfoliation.
- Next, use your fingers to scoop some scrub.
- Rub it on your skin, and scrub gently.
- Leave the lavender vanilla scrub on your skin for at least five minutes.
- Then rinse it off with warm water.
- Don’t use a towel. Let the water on your skin dry up on its own.
- And you don’t need to apply lotion. Remember, you have coconut oil on your skin.
- That’s all the moisturizing you’d need for now.
