Greek Yogurt Face Mask – At-home Facial Routine
So today, I decided to do a Greek yogurt face mask at-home facial.
But before now, I haven’t used yogurt on my skin.
So, this is new to my skin.
And I’m hoping that it improves my skin texture.
The thing is, I’ve not been taking care of my facial skin as I should be doing.
So, this is a significant step to see if Greek yogurt is something to add to my skincare routine.
And in this post, I’ll show you how I do a Greek yogurt facial routine at home.
Let’s dive in.

How to prepare for a Greek yogurt face mask facial
First, gather your products for the yogurt facial:
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp. coffee grounds
- 1 tsp. honey
Tools
- Small containers to add and mix the products
- a spoon to stir the ingredients
- Measuring spoons
- A makeup brush to apply the mask
- A small towel to dry your face
Make the face scrub.
- Scoop a teaspoon of coffee grounds into a small container. I used already brewed coffee grounds. Use what you have.
- Next, add a teaspoon of honey to the coffee grounds and mix.
- Your scrub might be slightly dry if you’re using dried coffee grounds. So feel free to add more honey to lighten it up.
- When both ingredients are well combined, set the coffee face scrub aside.
- Then start your at-home facial with the Greek yogurt face mask.
You don’t have to use a homemade scrub; it’s just my preference.

Steps to do an at-home facial with Greek yogurt face mask
Before you start, make sure to add less than a tablespoon of Greek yogurt to a small container.
And have your things within reach.
These are the exact steps I followed when using Greek yogurt as a face mask.
1. Start with a clean skin.
First, wash your face with a mild face soap.
I use this Garnier gentle face wash.
Washed my face for about 30 seconds to a minute before rinsing with lukewarm water.
Then, I pat my skin with a towel, leaving it damp.
You need the dampness to help your scrub spread easily when exfoliating your skin.
2. Exfoliate your face with a good scrub
Next, exfoliate your face with your favorite scrub.
Because I use mostly homemade scrubs, I used the coffee honey scrub and exfoliated my skin gently.
I prefer to exfoliate my skin before using a face mask.
Because I think exfoliation opens the skin to absorb the benefits of the face mask.
Let the scrub sit on your face for about 5 minutes.
Then rinse your face with warm water and pat dry again.
Your skin would feel and look smooth and supple.
3. Next, apply the Greek yogurt face mask.
So, the next step is to use a brush to apply the Greek yogurt to your clean and exfoliated skin, avoiding the eye area.
I used my hand since all my makeup brushes have makeup on them.
Then, leave it on your face for at least five minutes.
I left mine on and came to write this post. So you know I don’t necessarily follow my own advice. Lol
The Greek yogurt is almost dried up on my face at this stage.
Going to wash my face now.
I’ll be back with some updates.
4. Rinse and moisturize your face.
Next, rinse the Greek yogurt face mask with warm water.
Pat your face, and apply light face moisturizer.
I use this one.
So after washing my face, it looks brighter, feels softer, and more moisturized.
Guess I’ll keep using Greek yogurt as a face mask in my skincare routine.
Sorry, honey oatmeal face mask, you’ve just been knocked out of the park. Lol.

Greek yogurt face mask benefits
Now, Greek yogurt is a delicious, healthy snack.
But it also has several benefits to the skin.
Using Greek on the skin is like a luxurious treat to pamper your skin for a radiant and healthy glow.
Let’s discuss more benefits of a Greek yogurt face mask.
Greek yogurt face mask improves skin hydration levels
Let’s start with the fact that Greek yogurt is a natural skin hydrator.
Packed with water, it rehydrates thirsty skin, leaving it plump and supple.
So folks like me with dry skin can rest easy knowing Greek yogurt can hydrate and improve our skin’s look and texture.
Greek yogurt gently exfoliates the skin.
Greek yogurt also offers gentle exfoliation.
Rich in natural enzymes, it gently sloughs off dead skin cells leaving your skin looking and feeling smooth.
It’s like having a spa day for your face in the comfort of your own home.
It has anti-inflammatory properties.
Greek yogurt has natural soothing properties.
It may help reduce redness, whiteheads, and other skin irritations.
Thanks to its probiotics, it also helps calm the skin afterward.
Anti-blemish properties.
Greek yogurt contains lactic acid, which fights off acne-causing bacteria and gives you clear skin.
So as it soothes existing pimples, it also prevents breakouts in the future.
Brightens the skin
If you want to eliminate dark spots and improve skin tone, using Greek yogurt as a face mask can do wonders.
Again, because it contains lactic acid, Greek yogurt gently fades off dark spots and brightens your complexion.
Giving you a more radiant, even-tone skin.
Reduces the appearance of fine lines
Greek yogurt is also known to slow down the signs of aging on the skin.
Its proteins and vitamins help to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, leaving the skin more plump.
Calms and comforts sensitive skin
For those with sensitive skin who dread trying new products, Greek yogurt helps restore your skin’s peace and calm.
It’s like a gentle hug, soothing irritation and keeping your skin comfortable.
Give you a healthy glow.
All in all, Greek yogurt works wonders to improve your skin when you add it as a face mask to your skincare routine.
It gives you that sunkissed glow.
But you’ll always have it whether you’re in the sun or not.
So remember to slather some Greek yogurt on your face at least once weekly and embrace the natural glow.
Wrapping it up – Greek yogurt face mask skincare routine
