How to make Pink Himalayan Salt Scrub For Your Feet
Because of the size of salt granules, I prefer to use them for foot scrubs or bath salts.
But if you’d like to try using it on your body, that’s totally fine. Just make sure to moisturize your body after exfoliating with a salt scrub.
Okay, moving on…
Ingredients
- 1 cup pink Himalayan salt
- 1/4 coconut oil
- 10 drops of lavender essential oil
Tools
- A small mason jar with a lid
- A bowl, a spoon, a fork
Directions
- First, add the pink Himalayan salt and coconut oil into a bowl and mix until both ingredients bind.
- Next, add 10 drops of lavender essential oil and mix again.
- Then spoon the pink Himalayan scrub into a mason jar with an airtight lid, and store it in a cool dry place.
- An airtight lid is required to keep the essential oil fragrance from dissipating when or if your pink salt scrub is stored for a long time.
How to do a pedicure with your pink Himalayan salt scrub
Since you’d be doing this independently, here are steps to make your DIY pedicure pretty convenient.
Following these steps can save you time.
And also prevent accidents like slipping or spilling water.
Let’s go.

If you are unsure what you need for an at-home pedicure, check the list below.
- Foot soak,
- Foot spa or a foot-soaking bath (affiliate link).
- Very warm water (it would cool while you are cleaning your toes),
- Extra clean water to rinse your feet.
- Towels
- Body wash or shower gel,
- Nail polish remover,
- Cotton balls,
- Alcohol pads,
- Cuticle trimmer,
- Nail file and buffer,
- Foot brush
- Cuticle oil if you like (I don’t like cuticle oil. Don’t know why. lol.)
- Nail polish, base, and topcoat.
- A mop.
Then prep your feet and foot bath.
Before you begin, keep a mop within reach to easily clean up after your pedicure.
- First, add some foot soak and warm water into your foot spa or bath, and set it aside.
- Then wipe off your nail polish.
- Trim your cuticles with a clean and sterilized cuticle trimmer. (Soak your cuticle trimmer in alcohol or wipe it with an alcohol pad before using it).
- File and buff your nails, then rub some body wash or shower gel on your toes.
It’s time to soak your feet.
- Dip your feet in the prepared foot bath, and let them soak for about 8 to 10 minutes.
- Next, bring one foot out at a time and buff your heels and soles with a pumice stone, then soak again.
- The next time you bring your foot out, use your foot brush and shower gel to wash your feet.
- Rinse your feet, pat dry, and exfoliate them with your pink Himalayan salt foot scrub.
- After a few minutes, rinse off the pink salt scrub, and you’re done.
- Pat your feet dry and wear some flip-flops.
- Mop the floor.
- Then pour the pedicure water into your toilet and flush it.
- Rinse your foot bath and leave it to drain before storing it.
- When ready to polish your nails, wipe them with a nail polish remover. It makes for a better polish application.
